Our First Aid at Work Training is a 3 day, comprehensive course which covers the essentials of first aid. This includes managing an emergency situation and administering first aid, as well as identifying and treating a range of injuries such as burns or fractures.

What is the First Aid Training course?

The comprehensive, HSE‑compliant First Aid at Work course gives learners the practical skills and confidence to respond effectively to a wide range of workplace emergencies. Across 3 days, this course covers essential life‑saving interventions, management of injuries, and safe incident handling.

By providing this training to staff, employers can remain compliant with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. They can keep their team safe if an incident occurs, giving everyone in the organisation peace of mind.

After completing the course, learners must complete the First Aid Requalification Training within 3 years. Most learners book the course within 6 months of their certificates expiry to ensure their certification is renewed.

First Aid Training is suitable for anyone who is or aims to become a designated first aider in their workplace, especially in medium or high‑risk environments (e.g., manufacturing, construction, warehouses)). It is also ideal for anyone seeking a thorough understanding of first aid for professional or organisational compliance.

The First Aid Training course is 3 days long and can be studied in-house.

Upon completing the First Aid Training course, learners will be able to: 

  • Conduct a primary survey and manage an emergency safely.  

  • Perform adult CPR and use an AED.  

  • Identify and treat choking, bleeding, burns, and shock.  

  • Manage fractures, sprains, head injuries, spinal injuries, and medical conditions such as asthma, stroke, seizures, diabetes, and allergic reactions.  

  • Provide effective casualty care and communicate appropriately during incidents. 

Learners are assessed through ongoing trainer observation during practical activities and participation in Q&A sessions. There is no formal assessment process.

The completing the First Aid at Work Training course, learners are required to complete First Aid Requalification Training within a 3 year period to renew their certification. This is typically booked after 2 years have passed, in order to ensure there is no lapse in compliance.
