Understanding why stereotypes and their perpetuation are harmful.
Define and differentiate between five commons types of bias (Affinity, Perception, Confirmation, Conformity, Halo and Horns)
Identify the nine characteristics protected by UK Equality Act 2010.
Understand the four key forms of discrimination (Direct, Indirect, Harassment, Victimisation)
Identify the steps to acknowledging one’s own bias.
Understanding the definition of inclusivity.
Recognise how inclusivity can be applied in the workplace.
How to identify discrimination in the workplace, and how to challenge it if it arises.
Understand what kind of language and dialogue is inappropriate for the workplace.
Assessment is formative and spread throughout the course, allowing learners to move on from each section when they feel they've grasped the content.
